Contract Type: Permanent, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours:37 hours per week; Monday to Friday.

About the role

As alternative provision lead you will be responsible for all our learners, regardless of SEND, disability or otherwise, to ensure that they can access a curriculum that is appropriate to their needs and abilities. You will assist the SENCO in the strategic and operational management, development and leadership of alternative provision on and off our school site, ensuring that pupils’ legal entitlement to provision as mapped out in their EHCP is met. You play a leading role in developing lesson plans and programmes of study of alternative provision across primary and secondary phases, using creative and exciting methods. Develop a safe, healthy and purposeful environment in which to learn and work. Lead Forest School practitioners and teaching support colleagues in delivering alternative educational opportunities for high SEN learners. With the SENCO, assist in managing the financial resources needed to provide a good level of education for those pupils with additional needs.
