An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Second in the Science Department TLR 2B of £5,702 from 1st September 2024!
Bilton School is an exciting ethnically mixed vibrant 11-18 comprehensive with approximately 1120 students. Our school is full of wonderful students and fantastic staff all working together to make every school day a brilliant day! We do this by fostering a culture that encompasses our values of respect, resilience, and kindness, relentlessly focussing on three school priorities; Achievement, Learning and Teaching and providing Memorable Experiences. Our aim is simple; put students at the heart of everything we do!
Ofsted (2021) graded the school as ‘good’ in all areas and found that relationships between pupils and staff are incredibly positive. In addition, Students’ personal development is very well supported at the school, with staff having high expectations for all. In 2023, our Year 11 cohort achieved a P8 score of +0.44. The Science department achieved +0.58.
The Science department is one the strongest in the school, with an excellent Head of Department and a team of experienced and ECT teachers. All our teachers are very supportive of each other, and we always end the day with a laugh!
In this role as second in department we are looking for:

· A leader who is committed to contributing towards the extra-curricular life of the school
