6th Form Study Support Officer & Enrichment Coordinator job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and student-focused 6th Form Study Support Officer & Enrichment Coordinator to support students in achieving their full potential both academically and in their wider personal development and future career pathways.

Our 6th Form students continue to achieve strong outcomes, and we are committed to building on this success by providing greater structure, guidance and support during independent study periods. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who is passionate about supporting young people to develop effective study habits, engage fully in school life, and make informed decisions about their future education, training and employment opportunities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising and supporting students during their independent study periods, ensuring that they use their time productively and effectively. They will work with students both individually and in small groups, providing encouragement, guidance and intervention where required to promote academic progress, independence and personal development.

In addition, the postholder will support the wider school's enrichment programme, helping to ensure that students are well prepared for their next steps. The successful candidate will work alongside the two other Support Officers in the 6th Form, sharing the administrative support for wider whole school delivery, including careers, the personal development programme, enrichment coordination and administration. This is to support our school’s ethos of ensuring students have access to a broad range of opportunities that complement their academic studies and support their personal growth.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All postholders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
