A191 SEND Teaching Assistant (SLD) job summary

As part of the Harbour House team, you'll support students with a range of additional needs to take part in learning, develop new skills and achieve their goals. You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support in the classroom and around college. Every day is different, as you help students build confidence, independence and life skills in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. You'll also help monitor progress and ensure each student receives the personalised support they need to prepare for their next steps.

About You

  • Experience supporting young people in education, training or a similar setting.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 equivalent), or willingness to achieve these.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, with a willingness to complete or update training.
