Academic Mentor job summary

Oakgrove School is looking to appoint an Academic Mentor to join the team in the Autumn term. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in supporting our KS4 students .

The successful candidate will need to have a calm and professional but approachable manner in order to work effectively with staff, students and parents/carers; adaptable communications skills are also essential. They will often be responsible for managing their own workload so good organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines is essential. Experience of working with secondary aged students would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This position is advertised as 21 hours per week over 3 days, ideally Wednesdays to Fridays, however flexibility will be considered for the right candidate. This role is for 39 weeks per year, Term time plus INSET days.

The successful candidate should be willing to undertake any necessary training.
