About the role
This is a key role within the Academy to work alongside the Senior Administrator and/or Academy Operations Manager (AOM) to provide competent clerical, administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider team. The post holder will be primarily responsible for communicating with the Principal, SLT, Parents and Carers, DRET Head Office team and third party suppliers and contractors
- Provide general reception and clerical support including answering the telephone, clerical processes, word processing, IT based tasks including data input, requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment
Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders, collecting monies and undertake basic book keeping, such as for petty cash
Undertake reception duties, act as first point of contact in response to and deal with enquiries either by telephone or face-to-face and sign in visitors, deal with lost property etc.
Produce lists, information and data as requested by senior staff or external agencies (e.g. standard/statutory returns)
Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- First point of contact for sick students, liaise with parents / carers /staff
Manage incoming emails and post
Assist with arrangements for academy visits and events
Maintain stocks and supplies, selling and distributing as required
Provide administrative support for meetings and take notes at meetings
Administer First Aid, medication, manage medication records, organise student vaccines
Assist with the arrangements of events and activities
Salary & Benefits
NJC 3 - £24,796 FTE. £17,659 pro rata based on 30 hours per week, 39 term time weeks contract.

Who we are looking for
Educated to GCSE-level/NVQ-level 2 or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
Be a skilled user of Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce, create and edit documents using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Formal Administration Qualification - desirable
Experience of working within an Administration team.
Experience of working independently with little supervision.
Able to maintain the strictest confidentiality and integrity at all times.
Sensitivity when collaborating work with colleagues at all level
Able work under your own initiative and deal with demands of large and diverse Parent/Carer population
