Academy Business Manager job summary
Academy Business Manager - Term Time plus an additional 3 weeks worked during the school breaks
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata) - £22,794 per annum + pay award pending

We are looking for an exceptional Business Manager to lead the operational and support functions of our academy. Our pupils need someone who is committed and hardworking to give them the best possible chance of reaching their potential.
Whilst an experienced Business Manager would be ideal, we are also able to consider enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are looking for their next career opportunity. The Trust are able to support you in achieving a professional business manager qualification to compliment your practical experience and knowledge.
Our professional service teams will partner with you to offer expert advise and guidance on anything Finance, HR, Health and Safety, Governance and Facilities related.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective financial management, have experience of leading and managing a team and have the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
We are looking for someone who has:
Highly developed communication and inter-personal skills, can identify and use appropriate methods of communication to communicate sensitive, complex or difficult information appropriately
The ability to work with and build networks with senior colleagues and stakeholders, within and external to the trust
Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, networking and collaborative skills
Has high levels of enthusiasm and personal motivation
You will support the school in all HR matters including providing the end to end recruitment cycle
This critical role requires someone resilient and dedicated who can lead the operation of our academy. It is fast paced and demanding but your contribution is paramount to the academy delivering its strategy and mission to improve the life chances of it's pupils.

Churchwood Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a caring and creative school. With one class in each year group, we are able to guide and support our pupils to achieve their best. Situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood, our pupils enjoy learning outside the classroom in our forest school, woodland playground and large playing fields. Our speech and language provision is a key strength: we have a Autism Spectrum Disorder unit for Key Stage 2 pupils and a Speech and Language therapist. We also host a nursery for children aged from 2 years.
