Academy Improvement Partner job summary
The Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust was established in 2013 and is now the home of 22 Church of England academies across Warwickshire and Coventry. Our vision, “together, pursuing life in all its fullness”, is based on John 10:10 and reflects the Church of England’s vision for education. You will see this come to life in all our academies every day.
The role is responsible for establishing collaborative and open relationships with each Headteacher and Academy Governance Committee to develop the vision and plans for each academy, which is responsive to the communities they serve. The role will also critically evaluate and report on each academy’s performance and ensure performance targets are achieved, including for those in vulnerable groups.
Successful candidates will have the ability to make consistent and accurate judgements on the performance of schools using a range of information including detailed data analysis and scrutiny of teaching and learning to identify key priorities for improvement. Candidates should also have experience of the development of effective leadership and management systems to improve teaching and learning at EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and experience of delivering or facilitating leadership and other staff development programmes with impact. A commitment to collaborative ways of working and confidence and competence in public speaking is essential. The ability to write concise and evaluative reports and to deliver presentations is also essential.
