The Candidate
We are looking to appoint a highly organised, efficient and effective administrator to join our Business Team at Granville Academy as an Academy Support Officer. This is a key role supporting the Academy Business Office by maintaining and organising financial systems, assisting with HR processes, and providing wider administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school.
As part of the team, you will play an important role in finance and HR functions—such as maintaining accurate records, processing information, and supporting staff—while also providing flexible administrative support across the Academy to help deliver our day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, the ability to work with accuracy under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, pupils and other stakeholders. Experience in handling data systems and computerised records/management information systems will be highly beneficial.
Knowledge of school systems such as SIMS would be an advantage, but training can be provided. You must also be willing to undertake First Aid responsibilities for pupils as required—full training will be given.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is motivated to make a positive contribution to the success of both staff and pupils at Granville Academy.
