Withernsea Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated, patient and enthusiastic Achievement Support Assistant to join our Communication and Interaction Provision and contribute to the continued development of our school.
This is a permanent position, working 31 hours per week.

We are committed to delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that supports both academic achievement and personal development for children aged 3-11.
Our Communication and Interaction Provision supports children with a range of communication and interaction needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are seeking someone who:
Has a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children and helping them to enjoy learning
Has experience of, or an understanding of, supporting children with communication and interaction needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
Can build positive, trusting relationships with children and support their social and emotional development
Demonstrates patience, empathy and flexibility when supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
Understands the importance of structure, routine and consistency in supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs
Is able to adapt learning activities and use a range of strategies to support communication, engagement and independence
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
Values inclusion and understands how to support a range of learning needs
Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, external agencies and the wider community
Is organised, dependable and reflective in their practice
Has high expectations for both themselves and the pupils they support
Can work effectively alongside teachers and other professionals to support learning, communication and personal development
