About Us
Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years.

Our Pupils
We are a specialist school for pupils aged 8 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Our pupils join us from mainstream schools because they benefit from a setting that can provide additional behavioural support and a more personalised approach to helping them succeed.
We use a therapeutic approach called Thrive to help support children and young people with their emotional and social development.
The Thrive approach offers practical strategies and techniques, built around online assessments that identify children’s emotional development and provides action plans for their individual needs.
Research has shown that how we behave is linked to how we feel, and our emotions are linked to how we learn. By teaching children to recognise and notice these feelings and emotions it can help with their development and learning.

Key Duties
Play an active role both inside and outside the classroom, bringing variety and creativity to each day.
Take initiative to support learning in dynamic and meaningful ways.
Work closely with small groups of pupils, providing tailored support, while also contributing confidently to whole‑class activities.
Collaborate with teaching staff, following their guidance to help create an inspiring and well‑organised learning environment.
Use your strengths and enthusiasm to enrich pupil learning experiences and help them thrive across the school.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging young learners, offering support tailored to their individual needs, and delivering creative and impactful activities. Essential Qualifications & Experience
GCSE English and Maths Grade C / 4 (or equivalent - eg Certificate in Adult Literacy / Numeracy Level 2)
Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification is not essential but may be preferred
