About Us
Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years.
Our Multi Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in North Yorkshire, Hull and South Yorkshire whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress through the development of outstanding staff.
You can find out about recent activities via our Instagram page.
Our Pupils
We are a specialist school for pupils aged 8 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Our pupils join us from mainstream schools because they benefit from a setting that can provide additional behavioural support and a more personalised approach to helping them succeed.
We use a therapeutic approach called Thrive to help support children and young people with their emotional and social development.
The Thrive approach offers practical strategies and techniques, built around online assessments that identify children’s emotional development and provides action plans for their individual needs.
Research has shown that how we behave is linked to how we feel, and our emotions are linked to how we learn. By teaching children to recognise and notice these feelings and emotions it can help with their development and learning.
At Brompton Hall, we believe every young person deserves a fresh start, a sense of belonging, and the chance to thrive. We are committed to helping each student rediscover their strengths, rebuild trust, and reimagine their future.
