Achievement Support Assistant - Resource Base job summary
Job Overview
Biggin Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, supportive and dedicated Achievement Support Assistant. We are looking for a highly-motivated and organised individual to work in our specialist Resource Provision to support pupils with communication and interaction needs/ASD.
Contract Details
Grade: 4, Scp 7 - 9, £20141 - £20790 per annum (actual salary)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only (190 days)
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Have extensive experience working with SEND pupils.
- Understand that every child can be successful in their learning.
- Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
- Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
