Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential? Do you enjoy working in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic school environment? If so, we would love to hear from you!

New Pastures Primary is seeking to appoint a dedicated Achievement Support Assistant to join our committed team of staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is flexible, and is enthusiastic about supporting students' learning and well-being.

About the Role

As an Achievement Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to support students in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. You’ll provide both one-to-one and small group support, ensuring every child can access the curriculum and make good progress. We are a split site school and whilst the vacancy is currently in EYFS, there is an expectation that you could work elsewhere in the school in the future, depending on the children's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the learning and progress of students across a range of subjects

  • Work with students with additional needs to help them access lessons and build confidence

  • Support behavior management and promote a positive learning environment

  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with children or young people and holds an NVQ level 3 childcare Qualification

  • Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Works well in a team but can also use their initiative

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils

In Return, We Offer:
  • A welcoming, supportive, and inclusive school community

  • Opportunities for professional development and training

  • A chance to make a real impact on students’ lives and learning

  • Access to a Local Government Pension Scheme, EAP, staff well-being support, including flu vaccinations and access to a GP service 24/7 for you and your family.

This is an exciting post! We ideally would like this role to start as soon as possible
