Achievement Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant Level 2) job summary
The Directors of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, and highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant (L2 TA) to work as part of the team at St John of Beverley VC Academy supporting teaching and learning with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable pupils including those with SEND.
32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 2 training days
Hours of Work - 8:30 - 4:00pm with one hour lunch break
This is a fixed term post to the 31st August 2026 in the first instance.
The successful candidate will work across the school giving appropriate support for pupils of all abilities, some of whom have SEND. You will support teaching staff with the children’s social, emotional and academic progress, delivering interventions to enhance pupils learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.

- encourages pupils to interact with others and engage all children in learning activities led by the teacher;
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working within a supportive team;

- is willing to participate fully in ensuring inclusion of all children.

- is keen to continue to develop professionally
The successful candidate may:
- Have experience of working in EYFS
- Have experience of offering pastoral support to children, including ELSA
