Castle EAST School are seeking a calm, friendly, and professional Administrative Assistant to join our admin team, to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who shares our commitment to providing the very best outcomes and support for our children and their families.

The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient administrative support across the school, undertaking a wide range of general office duties. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service, building positive relationships, and communicating effectively with colleagues, pupil and parents and carers. The position will also include first aid responsibilities, for which full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to demonstrate sound judgement and initiative when working independently.

You will have:

  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within an educational setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to use initiative when required
  • A clear understanding of confidentiality and the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing tasks independently

Working in a school environment is both rewarding and varied. At times, the role can be fast-paced and demanding, requiring flexibility and resilience. The successful candidate will be able to respond effectively to changing priorities and unexpected situations, maintaining a professional and positive approach at all times.
