Admin Assistant (Medical and First Aid Responsibility) job summary

Edgar Wood Academy is seeking to appoint an organised, proactive and caring individual to join our administration team as an Admin Assistant with Medical & First Aid Responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in both the smooth running of the school and the welfare of our students and staff.

Working as part of a busy and supportive secondary school office, you will provide a high-quality administrative and reception service whilst taking a lead role in supporting the school's medical and first aid provision. Duties will include maintaining medical records, supporting the administration of medication, monitoring first aid processes and supplies, assisting with student welfare matters, and acting as a key point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors. The role also includes general administrative support, reception duties, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Previous administrative experience is essential, and experience within a school, healthcare or similar environment would be advantageous. First Aid training is desirable, although training will be provided for the successful candidate.
