We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Admin Officer to join our friendly team. This is a varied and rewarding role that plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school’s administrative, financial, and HR systems.

About the Role

As the Admin Officer, you will:

  • Provide strong administrative and financial support to the School Business Manager and Deputy Head Teacher.

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, purchase orders, and payments using SIMS FMS and Famly.

  • Support with budget monitoring, sourcing contracts, and ensuring best value for money.

  • Oversee front-of-house operations, staff timesheets, and admissions processes.

  • Maintain key records including the Single Central Record, staff absence records, and GDPR compliance.

  • Coordinate building maintenance, service contracts, and health & safety checks.

  • Represent the school professionally when liaising with families, staff, and external agencies.

About You

You will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can manage multiple priorities, and values teamwork and accuracy.

Essential requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent).

  • At least two years’ experience in a busy administrative role.

  • Experience in financial administration (e.g. invoicing, payments, budget monitoring).

  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail when handling data.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.

  • Commitment to inclusion, equality, and safeguarding practices.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SIMS, FMS, or other educational finance systems.

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.

  • Understanding of health & safety in a school or early years environment.

  • Professional qualification in business, finance, or management.
