Admin Officer job summary
Heytesbury Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, personable and organised Admin Officer to support our school on a part-time basis and help to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.
Working Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am until 10.30am (but can be adjusted), 39 weeks, includes Teacher Training days. Contract: Fixed Term (until 31st August 2026). Required: November 2025
We are a caring and vibrant small primary school with mixed age classes, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Located in the village of Heytesbury, near Warminster, Wiltshire, our school has close links with the local community and the church of St Peter & St Paul. As the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders, you will act as an ambassador for our school and be responsible for supporting with administrative and organisational processes within our setting.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is well presented and articulate, with great communication skills;
- Has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Has good attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to handle problems quickly and efficiently, and make effective decisions;
- Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
- Has a positive and flexible attitude;
- Has experience of working in a similar / office environment (advantageous);
- Has sound ICT skills, including fast and accurate keyboard skills.
