Administration and Attendance Officer job summary

Core responsibilities of the role include

Attendance support

  • To analyse attendance data and work with our families to maximise student attendance in school.
  • To identify students who are absent and support teams to ensure that attendance procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that student data is up-to-date and accurate. Administrative staff are supported where necessary, and the department runs smoothly and efficiently.

A Administration duties

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support by managing communications, maintaining records, coordinating school operations (including events, trips, and meetings), supporting reception, and ensuring efficient day‑to‑day running of the academy office

Reception support

  • To provide a professional first point of contact for the academy on visitor and student reception
  • To answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls and messages as appropriate
  • To take collection of academy deliveries

Medication and first aid support

  • Provide student medical support by administering medication and first aid, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents about injuries, managing medical supplies, and coordinating with external health services

Reprographics

  • To support photocopying and student and staff printing duties
