At Ellesmere Park High School, our values of Vibrant, Inclusive and Proud are more than just words – they define who we are. Ask any student, and they’ll tell you what makes this school special: the people. We are a warm, welcoming, and close-knit community, where everyone – from students to staff – feels part of something truly positive.
Our school is a place where every individual is valued, every talent is nurtured, and where our commitment to excellence is matched by our belief in kindness, creativity, and support. Don’t just take our word for it – our students, Abigail and Mae, say it best:
"It’s a perfect mix of focused learning and an enjoyable environment… you’ll be joining a family, not just a workplace."
We are now seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly organised Administration Assistant to join our friendly and supportive admin team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys working collaboratively, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to making a difference in the daily running of a vibrant secondary school.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school by providing a high standard of administrative and organisational support. This includes handling reception duties, responding to queries, supporting attendance and first aid procedures, updating school systems and records, and assisting with events and trips.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, so a welcoming and professional manner is essential. No two days are the same, so flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
- Strong ICT skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A calm, professional, and friendly manner under pressure
- A genuine desire to be part of a community where people matter
Experience in a school or education setting is desirable but not essential – we’re more interested in your approach, values, and willingness to learn.
In return, we offer:
- A supportive and inclusive working environment
- A highly rewarding role within a school that values your wellbeing and development
- Full induction and excellent CPD opportunities through the school and Consilium Trust
- Access to a wide range of staff benefits, including:
- Local Government Pension Scheme
- 34 days annual leave (pro rata, support staff only)
- Enhanced occupational sick pay
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Access to Vivup staff discount platform
- Salary sacrifice electronics scheme
- Occupational health support
