An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join the friendly and dedicated team at Copthorne Primary School.

We are looking for an organised, reliable and enthusiastic individual to provide a high-quality, professional and welcoming administration service to our pupils, families, staff and visitors. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our busy school office.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors and professionals.
  • Support the Office Team in providing effective support to staff, pupils and families.
  • Undertake reception duties, including answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential pupil, staff and school records and databases.
  • Support attendance administration and ensure school information is kept up to date.
  • Prepare letters, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other documentation.
  • Provide administrative and basic financial support as required.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • Work calmly and effectively in a busy school environment, managing competing priorities.
  • Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection procedures at all times.
  • Contribute positively to our school ethos and demonstrate our values in everyday practice.

We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, hardworking and trustworthy, with good IT and communication skills and a commitment to providing an excellent service to our school community. Previous school administration experience would be preferred, but transferable skills and the right attitude are equally valued.
