Administration Assistant job summary
St Augustine Academy is looking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join our friendly and helpful reception team. As the first point of contact for the academy, the role is essential in creating a positive first impression. The role also plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our office, providing essential administrative support to the team and contributing to the ongoing success of the Academy.
Specific tasks will vary according to the term, however typical duties include:
- To provide high-quality reprographic support, including copying, binding, etc. for teaching and non-teaching staff in accordance with Academy guidelines.
- To work efficiently and accurately as a member of the Academy’s busy and reception and administration team.
- To perform administrative tasks in a timely manner, including letters home to parents/students, using mail merge and creating reports from Arbor, filing, typing confidential notes and franking post.
- To ensure an efficient, effective and welcoming reception function for the Academy, foyer and meeting room.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, adaptable and resourceful as well as having high levels of organisational skills. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and participate in any relevant training.
The basis of this role is working 24 hours per week, term time, + inset days (39 weeks in total) and offering an actual salary of (approximately). (FTE, WAT grade D pt. 6-9).
