Administration Assistant job summary

Responsible to: Headteacher

We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to provide high-quality administrative, reception, HR and finance support, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our school.

As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and external agencies, you will deliver a welcoming and efficient reception service while supporting a wide range of administrative functions. The role includes maintaining school systems and records, supporting statutory returns, assisting with HR administration and staffing records, managing ParentPay transactions and debt monitoring, and providing confidential support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, strong IT and administration experience, the ability to work on their own initiative and meet deadlines, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Experience of school administration systems, such as Arbor, would be advantageous.

This job description will be reviewed annually, in consultation with the post holder, as part of the performance management process. A review may be initiated at any other time by either the post-holder or the Governing Body.
