Administration Officer job summary

We are looking to appoint an experienced administrator to work in our friendly and busy school office. We need someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about customer care, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well in busy times.

The Administration Officer will provide day to day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school. The role will include daily validation of pupil attendance and meal registers, communication with parents/carers regarding their child’s attendance at school, administering medication to pupils, amongst other administrative tasks. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a busy school office.

This role is very much front facing so the applicant needs to have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with our school community, including the pupils.

The successful candidate will have good ICT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Prior knowledge and experience of the school’s chosen pupil database ‘BromCom’, would also be greatly advantageous.

We are also looking for someone who will be flexible, well organised, good with time management and someone who wants to be part of school community. They will also be able to prioritise their workload and be committed to working within a small team supporting colleagues when necessary.
