£25,185.00 - £25,989.00 Annually (FTE) The salary shown is the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) salary based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. As this is a term-time only role (39 weeks per year), the actual salary will be paid on a pro rata basis, dependent on the number of hours worked per week. The pro rata salary will include some holiday pay. We reserve the right to appoint ahead of the closing date should an exceptional candidate be identified.

Administrative Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a professional, approachable and welcoming skilled Administrative Assistant, who will also be required to administer first aid (full training will be given):

Applications will be considered on a full or part-time basis. The ideal full-time hours would be Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day)

The successful candidate will ensure the provision of effective administration and clerical support within the school. As part of a small team of reception / administrative staff, you will work in a dynamic environment providing excellent customer service for staff, pupils, parents and visitors.

The school reception office is our communications hub and is the key position as first point of contact for callers and visitors to the school, therefore, the post holder will be part of the team presenting a friendly, professional, effective and efficient corporate image at all times and be able to deal skilfully, calmly and assertively with any situation. 

You need to have excellent communication skills, be well organised and stay calm under pressure. The successful candidate will be competent in the use of IT and training will be provided on school systems.
