What the school offers its staff

Arbourthorne Community Primary School is an OfSTED rated good school with outstanding Personal Development. We have approximately 480 pupils on roll at any time but manage to create a ‘family’ atmosphere despite being a larger than average primary school.

There is a strong sense of team in our school and a very positive and friendly atmosphere. The school serves an area of high social deprivation and staff have worked with great determination to improve the life chances of our pupils. Behaviour is good in the school and an outstanding pastoral team provide additional support for the most vulnerable children and families. We all have a strong sense of collective responsibility to our pupils and every child is everybody’s business!

The school is well known locally and nationally for its inclusive approach to education. We believe in the value of parents, children, governors and staff working together.
