Administrative Officer job summary

We are seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer to join our dedicated admin team in running the main school office. The school is part of the Campfire Education Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in undertaking reception duties as well as supporting office and teaching staff in a range of more general administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team and is confident to provide a warm welcome for parents, visitors and colleagues and deal with their requests in an efficient and professional manner. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to prioritise tasks when under pressure and good organisational ability.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to form good relationships with parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Be able to liaise with outside agencies (DFE,LA etc)
  • Be able to stay calm and maintain a sense of humour under pressure.
  • Be a good team player.
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to multi task.
  • Be experienced and confident in the use of ICT.
  • Be thoroughly professional, understanding issues of confidentiality and the need to protect the welfare of children.

Knowledge of SIMS software is preferred but not essential
