Administrative Support & Reprographics Technician job summary

Are you interested in transforming children's lives, making a difference in our community and looking to join our team for your next steps?

This is an exciting opportunity at Venture Academy that requires enthusiastic and passionate individuals with the drive to help our students to achieve their very best.

We're looking for an organised, can-do Administrative Support & Reprographics Technician to join our busy academy administration team. You'll be the friendly face behind the scenes making sure the day runs smoothly — from producing beautifully formatted letters, newsletters and resources for staff, to keeping our reprographics room stocked, tidy and fully operational. No two days are quite the same: one minute you're binding a set of booklets for the whole academy, the next you're liaising with a department on the best way to present their latest project, or making sure the display boards around school are looking their best.

This role would suit someone practical, personable and comfortable switching between paper-based and IT-based tasks without missing a beat. You'll need a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher, a keen eye for detail (copyright rules included!), and the confidence to liaise with staff across the academy to get things exactly right.

Ormiston Venture Academy is an outstanding academy (Ofsted March 2025) where the contributions and aspirations of students and staff alike are valued. We have a culture of collaboration and are wholly committed to the development of our team to ensure you have access to the best professional opportunities through our commitment to personalised CPD, participation on programs through our Ignite Training offer and in partnerships beyond Venture.

Our students demonstrate a love of learning and our community is built on a sense of respect and partnership for one another.

Why work for Ormiston Academies Trust?

Our vision is to create a school system where every child thrives, regardless of background. Our people are at the heart of our approach - they are our greatest asset.

We exist to provide the best learning opportunities every day, in every school for every child. It is the people and teams in our Trust who make this a reality and ensure we have the greatest impact. If you join us at Ormiston, whatever your role, you can be sure of a role with purpose and meaning.

Ormiston, where every member of staff enjoys…

  • The opportunity to build on the legacy of those who came before - being part of one of the longest standing Trusts, created with the sole purpose of enabling children and young people to thrive
  • Working for a Trust nationally recognised for its impact on disadvantaged children - a rewarding, stimulating career where staff are challenged to be the best they can be, for the pupils we are proud to serve
  • Being part of a team and community where you belong - receiving bespoke and holistic support from a well-resourced and ambitious network of experts and professionals that work at the heart of communities
  • A supportive environment to grow your career - an extensive professional development programme, alongside flexible working arrangements and generous benefits

This is an exciting opportunity at Ormiston Venture Academy and requires you to be enthusiastic and passionate with the drive to help our students to achieve their very best.

Please apply by the closing date of 22 September 2026, early applications are encouraged as we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should a suitable candidate be found.
