Administrator for Student Care job summary

Corby Technical School requires an efficient and self-motivated Administrator to join our growing team. The post holder’s main responsibilities will be administering student level data, communications to parents and carers and providing support to the senior leaders responsible for student care. The successful candidate will have experience of handling sensitive and often confidential information and have previous experience communicating with parents/carers and families as well as other agencies. Experience of working in the school environment is desirable but training is available for the right candidate. A prime requirement is that the post holder is personable, friendly, adaptable and able to work both within a team and under their own initiative. Key to this role is the ability to respond to the demands of a busy school environment. This will be a busy but demanding position.


The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with colleagues across the School, building effective relationships with all staff and students
  • Have previous experience of working with parents/carers and other agencies
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Work with the utmost integrity and confidentiality

The person appointed will demonstrate a good standard of education, and be able to communicate at all levels, with students, staff and parents. The hours of work will be 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday initially, but we reserve the right to vary hours and working days to meet operational needs. This is a full-time contract with hours equating to 1 additional week to be worked flexibly across school holidays/evenings.
