What skills and experience we're looking for
Our Opportunity
We are looking for an administrator to be the backbone of our wonderful school, located in a picturesque village in the North York Moors.
You will oversee our school office; being a friendly face to visitors and making sure everything is running smoothly.
As a small village school with a total of around 25 pupils and12 staff, you will be able to get to know everyone well and will feel part of a team. As you will be in charge of the office, you will need to be able to prioritise tasks and work independently (however our Headteacher and other senior staff are always happy to help!).
You will be handling core duties such as email communications, letters to parents, and other tasks to aid the running of the school.
About you
This role is not exclusively for those who have worked administration duties for a school environment before, candidates who have worked in other sectors are encouraged to apply.
You will need experience of:
- Working in an office environment
- Paperwork systems
- Strong communication skills – face to face, over the phone and via email
- Understanding and ability to follow confidentiality is essential
What the school offers its staff
- A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other
- Happy and enthusiastic children
- A school with exciting and attractive learning environments, including extensive outdoor spaces
- A leadership team who welcome fresh ideas and a sense of teamwork
