What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you an experienced administrator who is keen to join a friendly, passionate team, putting children at the heart of everything we do?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Ruskin Infant School & Nursery. We are seeking to appoint a versatile, sociable and positive minded lead for Data and Attendance administration. The successful applicant will ideally have experience working in a busy office, within an educational setting and ideally have an administrative background within education including a successful Nursery setting.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager and Head of School, the administrator (including Data & Attendance) is responsible for ensuring all administrative aspects of the school run efficiently through effective working practices. Your core duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage manual and computerised record/information systems.

  • Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.

  • Undertake word-processing and other IT based tasks

  • Use the school’s management information system, Arbor, to prepare and maintain attendance registers and records as required

  • Seek reasons for unexplained pupil absence, process attendance data and pupil returns as required

  • Dealing with queries in the main school office from parents, children, staff, visitors etc.

Pay: Grade E Scale 4-5 Full time equivalent is £23,114 - £23,500, salary stated is subject to pro rata
