What skills and experience we're looking for
- Manage student admissions throughout the academic year, ensuring a smooth transition from initial enquiry to enrolment.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to maintain compliance with statutory requirements and the School Admissions and Appeals Code.
- Coordinate admissions arrangements with Local Authorities and internal colleagues, ensuring efficiency and alignment with policies
- Rank applications according to the Academy Admissions Policy, maintain waiting lists effectively, and process applications with consideration for sibling status, EHCP, and LAC students
- Manage the service level agreement for appeals chairs and panel members, regularly reviewing its alignment with Academy requirements.
- Serve as the key point of contact for appeals, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment checks and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Prepare case files and support Academy representatives during Appeal Hearings, assisting with presentations and responding to panel queries
- Ensure all in-person, online, and offline communication with families is accurate, timely, and consistent, providing an optimal customer experience from enquiry to enrolment.
- Act as the initial advisor for prospective applicants, promoting and supporting their admissions journey.
- Manage the admissions and appeals inbox and direct phone line, handling queries efficiently and professionally
- Oversee the publication of admissions policies, deadlines, and updates, ensuring accurate and accessible information.
- Produce structured reports with visual data representation for stakeholders, supporting analysis and planning.
- Attend and support open evenings, and Academy admissions events, contributing to engagement and outreach efforts.
- Deliver annual training and inductions for new staff responsible for admissions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes.
- Maintain admissions records on SharePoint, manage Census reporting, and provide insights into intake criteria alignment.
- Maintain internal intranet site containing up to date admissions information, templates and assets to support the management of admissions across the Trust.
- Work effectively within the Corporate Services Team, providing support where needed and contributing to operational excellence.
- Continuously review and refine responsibilities in response to Academy needs, ensuring adaptability and improvement.
- The specific responsibilities are not exhaustive and are subject to change. Alternative duties commensurate with the level of the post may be allocated according to need.
