We are seeking to appoint an Admissions Officer/Transition Officer to join our administration team. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience of how the school's admissions process works or a willingness to learn this. They will be able to provide high quality administrative support and be a team player who can work in a fast-paced environment. They will be a good communicator and someone who is focused on doing the very best for our students and their families, be reliable hardworking and organised to promote the school with our feeder schools and the wider community. You would be responsible for dealing with all admissions and appeals ensuring compliance to stipulated criteria and current legislation. This postholder will also support pupil attendance for our Sixth Form.

Candidates with the following skills are encouraged to apply:

  • Previous experience of school admissions within a primary or secondary setting
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the legal framework surrounding school admissions and school admission appeals
  • Persuasive communication skills to consult effectively with staff, parents / carers, and children.
  • Good analytical skills to maintain accurate and timely information on admissions and transitions.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment, ability to work to tight timescales, and prioritise competing demands.
  • The ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, cope with interruptions, perform accurately and remain calm under pressure.
