ADMISSIONS & TRANSITION ADMINISTRATOR

Commencing - ASAP

Term Time Only

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

(30-minute unpaid break each day)

Salary - £25,989 to £28,598 FTE

Actual Salary - £22,288 to £24,525 p.a.

The Role

Watling Academy is seeking an Admissions & Transition Administrator to support students and families at key points in their journey and contribute to our growing Sixth Form provision.

Working closely with the Admissions and Transition Manager, you will be a key point of contact for parents, students, staff and external partners, ensuring a professional, welcoming and efficient experience for all.

As our Admissions & Transition Administrator, you will:

Be the first point of contact for admissions enquiries, providing clear, professional guidance to parents and stakeholders.

Support the administration of admissions, in-year applications, waiting lists and appeals, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant.

Help plan and deliver transition events and activities, building strong relationships with local primary schools and families.

Liaise with the local authority and external partners to support admissions, managed moves and fair access processes.

Provide administrative support for new students and leavers, including data transfers and internal coordination.

Support Sixth Form work-related learning and careers administration, including communications and student platforms.

Watling Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school situated on the western edge of Milton Keynes, encompassing the Whitehouse and Fairfields developments. Opening in September 2020, our school is a new and vibrant learning community for students aged 11-18.
