Advanced Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant - pastoral role job summary
Hours: 24 hours per week (Term Time Only)
Brayton Church of England Primary School is a school with friendly and dedicated staff who always put the needs of our children first. We are seeking a caring, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our committed staff team who have high aspirations both for themselves and our children, have a passion for learning, are proactive and dependable and have strong interpersonal skills and a positive outlook. In return we can offer you the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning and to be part of a happy and effective staff team.
We are seeking a dedicated practitioner to work as an Advanced Teaching Assistant or HLTA with a focus on pastoral support work across the school. This will involve contact with families and support for children in small groups and individually through relational approaches such as Thrive and ELSA. Ideally the successful applicant will have a qualification in one of these areas or something similar, or a strong record of experience in a similar role. This role is not class-based, although it will involve working with children in and out of class and liaising with other school staff as well as with our Wellbeing in Mind team on site. You will also work closely with the Attendance Champion and Inclusion Lead to help support children and families.
The hours of work may cover 4 full days or a combination of shorter and longer days over the week, with lunchtime support. We can consider different working patterns as long as the hours worked would fit with our school's needs. The pay grade will be finalised based on experience and qualifications, with an hourly rate of £13.47-£16.35.
Brayton Church of England Primary School is a great place to work; we are offering the opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic team with highly effective teaching assistants who are committed to enhancing the experiences of all our students, whilst being a good team player.
