Who we are looking for............
You will have recent aerospace industry experience be passionate about developing others.
You may already be working in training and education, or you may be an experienced aerospace engineer, fitter, technician or manufacturing specialist looking to take the next step in your career.
Most importantly, you'll be able to bring aerospace engineering to life, explain complex concepts clearly, and inspire learners to achieve their full potential.
You will be supported to attain the necessary teaching qualification relevant for your role.

Aerospace Tutor and Skills Coach Help Shape the Next Generation of Aerospace Engineers
At the Isle of Wight College, we are looking for an exceptional Aerospace Tutor and Skills Coach to support apprentices as they develop the technical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours required for successful careers in the aerospace industry.

Why This Role MattersThe aerospace sector depends on highly skilled engineers, technicians and manufacturing specialists to drive innovation, quality and safety. As an Aerospace Tutor and Skills Coach, you will play a pivotal role in developing the future workforce, helping apprentices turn their potential into professional competence.
You will be teaching, coaching and assessing learners both in the classroom and the workplace, supporting them to develop expertise in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, fitting, quality processes and safe working practices. Your guidance will help apprentices gain the confidence, technical ability and industry behaviours needed to succeed in a demanding and exciting sector.
Every lesson you deliver, every workplace review you conduct and every apprentice you support will contribute directly to the future success of the aerospace industry.
What You'll Be DoingWorking closely with apprentices and employers, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring aerospace training.
- Coach and mentor apprentices throughout their learning journey.
- Conduct workplace assessments and progress reviews.
- Help learners develop technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours.
- Prepare apprentices for successful completion of their programme and End Point Assessment.
- Build strong relationships with employers to ensure training reflects real industry needs and expectations
