After School Care Welfare Assistant job summary

After School Care Welfare Assistant- Grade 3.

12.5 hours per week- Monday to Friday, 3.30pm-6pm.

Maternity Cover- 1st September- 11th April 2027.

£12.85 per hour, pro-rata

Broken Cross Primary Academy and Nursery is a busy one form entry school, proud to be one of the founding members of the Halliard Trust.

We are looking to appoint a welfare assistant to join our After School Care team.

The role involves supervising children after school from both nursery and school, arranging appropriate activities, initiating and supervising play on the playground and indoors.

The role will be from 3.30pm- 6pm- Monday - Friday during term time.

The successful candidate must enjoy working with children and as part of a team will be expected to effectively apply the school’s policy.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children. All appointments are subject to stringent safeguarding procedures, including enhanced DBS clearance.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
