After School Club Assistant job summary
After School Club Assistant - Elm Tree Primary School
Permanent
Grade: C4
Start date: As soon as possible
Purpose of role
To assist in the delivery of a safe, engaging, and stimulating After School Club environment for children. The After School Club Assistant will support in delivering a wide range of creative and recreational activities.
Key responsibilities include -:
- Set up activities and materials for each session.
- Lead and support the delivery of varied and stimulating activities such as arts and crafts, games, cooking, and sports.
- Encourage and support child-led play and interaction.
- Promote positive behaviour through praise and encouragement
- Ensure activity areas are tidied and cleaned after sessions, maintaining a hygienic and safe environment.
- Maintain and organise equipment and resources to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and carers during face-to-face contact.
- Support with any other duties in line with the level and nature of the role.
