After School Club Assistant job summary
Hours: 8 hours week; 2 hours per day 3.30 - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday - 38 weeks per year
The afterschool club has many activities for the children, quiet zones, arts and crafts, sports, board games and many more but they are always looking for new activities for the children and we would welcome your input in this. All activities take place within the school building and on the playground, all our staff take turns in working in both areas.
If you are looking for a position within a school this is a good starting block to move on to other roles within Raglan and the other schools within the Trust.
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working with children aged 5 - 11
- Have a positive approach in leading and organising play activities
- Ensure there is inclusive approach to all activities
- Have a good sense of humour
- Be flexible within the after school environment
- Be a Team player
Previous experience of working with children is an advantage and a Certificate in First Aid is desirable, although not essential.
