After School Club Assistant job summary

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and serve meals/snacks as appropriate.

Help to create a welcoming and supportive environment for the members of the club

Be responsible for the management of the behaviour of members of the club

Assist with the tidying of the venue after use and ensure the secure storage of resources and equipment used

Support the aims and ethos of the school

Set a good example in terms of punctuality, behaviour, attendance and dress code

Be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of specialist equipment

Demonstrate and assist in the safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials

Other duties and responsibilities

Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, food hygiene, allergies, health, safety and security, administration and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop

Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school

Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals as relevant

Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required

Create displays of children’s work as appropriate


CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION

Assist in the identification of appropriate food/drinks in order to maximise the popularity of services with customers

Contribute to the promotion of the club to maximise usage and continued success

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
