After School Club Assistant job summary
Salfords Primary School is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic After School Assistant to join our team – 15 hours per week, supporting children in a fun and vibrant after-school setting!
Your Opportunity
After School Club at Salfords Primary School provides quality childcare for children. We are looking for someone to join our team on a permanent basis to work in the after school club from 15:00-18:00 Mon-Fri.
The successful candidate will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life and be a strong team player.

What we are looking for
- Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
- Have an interest in the play needs of children
- Be able to participate in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, and other indoor and outdoor games.
- Be proactive, using their own initiative to differentiate activities to ensure full inclusion for all abilities and ages.
- Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour and circumstances
- Be enthusiastic and motivated and committed to working as part of a team

The Details
Start Date: 1st Sept 2025
Salary: GLF Associate 2 - Point 1 - £22,918.66 to Point 16 £24,653
Actual Salary: Point 1 8,215.32 to Point 16 £8,837.01 (dependent on experience)
Hours of work: 15:00-18:00 Mon-Fri (15hrs per week) Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)
