After School Club

3.00pm to 5.30pm (12.5 hours per week) - Monday to Friday, term time only

Salary - Grade H, Spinal Point 14 to 17 (actual salary £8,400 to £8,821)

St Mark’s Church of England Primary School require a permanent After School Club Assistant to support children with After School Club care within the Early Years Foundation Stage. We can offer a supportive team environment and ongoing professional development. We can also offer you the experience of working with our wonderful children.

At St. Mark’s, every child is distinct in their own way, and we want their primary education to be as distinct as them and certainly a chapter of their lives that they will remember. We want each child to strive for academic success in all areas, by generating a real love for learning and offering them experiences that allow them to understand the world around them. We want them to be able to have these experiences the whole time they are in our care. You will have experience working with children; this may be within a school or childcare setting. You will have strong teamwork skills, be caring, self-motivated and patient.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience within a school environment
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training in the future
  • A passion for childcare and a genuine interest in child development

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

Preparing snacks and drinks

Supporting children with their self-care and promoting independence where appropriate

Providing nurturing and inclusive care for our youngest children

Planning and preparing structured, fun and age-appropriate activities to keep the children engaged.

Building positive professional relationships with families and providing safe handovers with parents/carers.

To adhere to stringent safeguarding practices.
