After School Club Leader job summary
We are looking for a confident and outgoing after school club leader in our vibrant and inclusive school. We want someone who loves working with children and can use their initiative to design exciting and engaging activities for the children in their care.
Duties would include:
• Setting up activities and organising resources needed through the week.
• Managing/ordering food and the personal needs of the children in your care.
• Welcoming children after a day at school and ensuring they are settled and happy in the setting.
• Undertaking relevant health and safety/safeguarding training to ensure children are well looked after.
• Being responsible for the movement of children to the club from classes and to their parents at the end of the session.
• Keeping attendance records to ensure pupils are well safeguarded.
• Manage other staff to coordinate a smooth running service of the club.
We would be looking for someone who:
• Has a lovely manner with all children.
• Is good at communicating with other colleagues and parents.
• Can deal with first aid or personal care needs.
• Is well organised and can work from their own initiative.
• Has a firm but friendly approach to behaviour management.
• Can setup a wonderful, nurturing environment where children thrive and have a sense of belonging.
