After School Club Playworker job summary
St James’ CofE Primary School has established a happy, warm and welcoming environment where pupils are encouraged to aim high and be the very best they can be. We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Playworker to join our team, working three days a week on a fixed term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support children at the end of the school day, helping to deliver a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where pupils can learn, play and relax.
You will work under the direction of the After School Club Supervisor to:
- Supervise children during a range of activities, including indoor and outdoor play.
- Help prepare and serve healthy snacks.
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
- Set up and tidy away equipment.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and understands their needs.
- Can supervise groups safely and positively.
- Is friendly, patient and able to work as part of a team.
- Is reliable, organised and committed to high standards.
- Is willing to undertake relevant training.
