Alternative Provision Lead job summary
Are you an ambitious, compassionate QTS-qualified educator ready to build something extraordinary? At King’s Academy Ringmer, we are launching a high-quality, nurturing Alternative Provision to help students rebuild their confidence, master core literacy and numeracy skills and re-engage with learning. Reporting directly to SLT, you will shape the curriculum, lead personal development, and create a calm, highly structured environment where students overcome barriers and thrive. If you possess exceptional restorative and de-escalation skills, deep SEND knowledge and a relentless belief in every young person's potential, join us to pioneer a provision that turns challenge into success.
As a valued member of our staff team, you will contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment opportunities and collaborating with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning. You will uphold the Trust values of Honesty, Faith and Courage in your daily practice and be committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing and high aspirations for all students.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher to make a meaningful difference to young people's lives while developing their own practice within a supportive school and growing Trust.
About you
You are a passionate and reflective teacher with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. Whether you are an experienced teacher or at an earlier stage in your career, you are able to engage and inspire students and help them develop a curiosity for the past and success in the subject.
You have experience of planning and delivering lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities and are confident in using assessment to inform your teaching and improve outcomes. You understand the importance of creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
You are a positive team player who builds strong relationships with students, colleagues and families and is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school. You are resilient, adaptable and committed to your own professional development.
Above all, you believe in the power of education to transform lives and are dedicated to improving outcomes and opportunities for every student.
What can we offer you?
