Apprentice Early Years Foundation Stage - Level 3 Teaching Assistant job summary

St Mark’s Church of England Primary School is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to begin or further develop a career as a Teaching Assistant within our Early Years provision.

Our EYFS setting is supported by a dedicated and experienced team who are committed to nurturing staff development within a welcoming, enabling, and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will primarily be based in our two-year-old provision, which opened in September 2025. Due to its success and growing popularity, the provision is expanding from ten to fifteen places. There will also be opportunities to work within our main nursery and reception classes as required.

By undertaking an apprenticeship, you will be provided with full training to become a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. You will be fully supported in the workplace by the apprenticeship training provider (Stockton Riverside College), the Trust Early Years Lead and the rest of the Early Years team. It is anticipated that you will need to attend College one day a week.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and nurturing person who:

Has a good general education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English;

Is nurturing, empathetic and dedicated to making a difference to young people’s lives.
