The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience across HR operations while working towards a recognised HR apprenticeship qualification.
As an HR Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality HR service across the Trust. You will work closely with experienced HR professionals, gaining exposure to key areas including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, payroll support, and compliance.
You will play an important role in ensuring our HR processes run smoothly, supporting both schools and central colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support, including preparing contracts, letters, and maintaining employee records
- Supporting recruitment processes, including interview coordination and candidate communication
- Assisting with onboarding and pre-employment checks, ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Updating and maintaining HR systems with accurate employee data
- Supporting the HR inbox and responding to queries or directing them appropriately
- Assisting with payroll and pensions administration tasks
- Maintaining accurate and audit-ready HR and compliance records
This is a full-time apprenticeship role, with a combination of on-the-job learning and off-the-job training to support your qualification. Some travel across Partnership sites may be required.

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual who is eager to learn and develop within HR.
You will:
- Have a good standard of education, including GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Be organised, reliable, and able to manage your workload effectively
- Communicate confidently and professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Work well as part of a team and build positive working relationships
- Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to tasks
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Be committed to learning and completing your apprenticeship qualification
- Have a genuine interest in developing a career in Human Resources
You may have developed these skills through school, part-time work, volunteering, or early career roles.
