The Role

We are looking for someone passionate about technology, keen to learn, and excited about developing their skills in a real-world environment. As an IT Apprentice, you will work closely with our IT team to maintain and improve the school's IT systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy, educational environment, supporting staff and students with their technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers both internal and external through a range of communication channels
  • Address IT issues by prioritising in response to customer service level agreements
  • Help maintain the school's network, ensuring connectivity across the site.
  • Support the installation and configuration of new technology equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining IT security, ensuring compliance.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Enthusiasm for IT and technology.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications Required

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics.
