Apprentice IT Technician job summary
Committed to growing and developing within the IT industry? This role with The Central Learning Partnership is going to take your career to the next level, by joining us as an IT Apprentice!
This hands-on role will allow you to be part of a bigger picture, you will be based in Vale of Evesham School. Assisting with the repair and maintenance of IT equipment, installing software as well as updating it, and much more.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Support the maintenance of the helpdesk system – ensure requests are prioritised and completed in line with the department’s standards
- Provide tech support to staff and students
- Repair and maintain IT equipment
- Ensure the correct disposal of damaged and un-repairable equipment and that the school meets its recycling duties in line with current procedures
- Install and configure new and existing IT equipment
- Apply security policies for users, pushed out via group policy
- Conduct software installation and ensure upgrades take place
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

- Grade 4/C in Maths and 5/C in English GCSE
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary – £14,566 Apprentice rate
- Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 4:30
- 30 Minute early finish on a Friday

Vale of Evesham School is part of Central Learning Partnership Trust. We cater for approx. 185 pupils with a range of cognition and learning difficulties, aged from 4-19. The pupils are ably supported at all levels by just over 140 staff.
